Part 2 of our elopement adventure with Lali + Ehsan took us to Siem Reap, Cambodia. We had the absolute pleasure of shooting a day after session in one of the coolest places on the planet, Angkor Wat. We spent our first day eating good food and exploring, both to experience this amazing place and get an idea on some potential photo locations. We checked out many temples in the area but our favorite was Ta Prohm, the jungle temple. What made us fall in love with this place was the massive tree roots consuming the ancient structure, giving it a pretty rough around the edges look. We knew that tourists were going to be our biggest hurdle so Lali + Ehsan, being the champs that they were, went along with our crazy idea of a sunrise shoot. We arrived at 5:30am and we had the entire place to ourselves. It was as if we had just discovered this unreal temple in the middle of the jungle and it was all ours to explore...our only visitor during the shoot was a friendly dog who gladly posed for a few photos. I think it was this portion of the trip when Lali + Ehsan really said "Why did we get married at a resort and not somewhere like this! This is more like what we imagined." Well that thought definitely pushed open the door of possibility. Keep an eye out for part 3 to hear the rest of the story!
